Xiaoan Li

Xiaoan Li, Ph.D., serves as Senior Program Officer at the Fetzer Institute, a private foundation in Michigan dedicated to helping build the spiritual foundation for a loving world. Since joining Fetzer in 2011, Xiaoan has led the Institute’s education initiatives, advancing efforts to integrate the head and the heart, the mind, body, and Spirit in learning. His work has focused on nurturing the spiritual and moral development of young people through schools and communities across the United States. Beginning in 2024, Xiaoan now leads Fetzer’s environment strategy, which centers on sacred-centered worldview transformations by supporting spiritual and ecological renewal in service of humanity’s relationship with the natural world. Trained in Higher Education and Organizational Change at the University of California, Los Angeles, Xiaoan’s life work bridges education, spirituality, and ecological consciousness toward a more compassionate and awakened world.
